Komfort Architectural Glass

Komfort Architectural Glass specialise in structural glass and fire rated glass installations and offer a complete solution for the design, supply and installation of structural glass projects. Including:

• Technical Support – Komfort provide a comprehensive support service including specification writing, structural analysis and budget advice on project proposals.
  
• Design – Komfort employ design managers to assist with projects, from the initial concept stage to preparation of full working drawings, 3D visualisations and walkthrough animations for client presentations.
  
• Project Management – Komfort employ a dedicated Contracts Team to ensure the smooth running of projects.

Products

Glass Facades & Atria

Frameless bolted glass assemblies for external facades, lift shaft enclosures, atria glazing and similar applications. Support structures can include glass fins, mild or stainless steel structures. Specialists in supply and installation of SSG Spider and Litewall systems.

Glass Staircases

Although typically designed with a mild or stainless steel primary structure, all-glass staircases are also possible. Pleasing aesthetics and maximum transparency can be achieved by using glass treads and balustrading.

Glass Balustrading

Both cantilevered glass and posted balustrading are available. Handrail options typically include circular stainless steel and timber. Glass type and thickness are subject to use and associated loadings. Komfort can advise accordingly.

Glass Canopies

Support structures may include mild or stainless steel metalwork; glass can be bolted or framed and may be coloured or screen printed to provide solar shading or to alter the aesthetics. Glass type and thickness are subject to design and associated loadings. Komfort can advise accordingly.

Glass Floors

Structural glass floors can be used to let natural light throughout a building. Design options include coloured glass and interlayers, sandblasted or screenprinted top surfaces. Floors can be also be illuminated (LEDs) which offer colour options and the facility of pre-programming the switching of the panels on & off.

Glass Firescreens

Metal framed firescreens can provide performance up to 120 minutes integrity and insulation. For maximum transparency with minimal framework, silicone-jointed glass systems can give up to 60 minutes integrity and installation. Komfort will give technical advice and provide certification for the completed installation.

Bespoke Glass Assemblies

Bespoke designs for all requirements. Komfort will assist in the design of bespoke assemblies, including all-glass structures that utilise glass fins and beams as support.
